<p>The invention relates to compounds which are applicable as intermediate products in the production of epipodophyllotoxin compounds and which have the formula (X) <IMAGE> in which R1 and R2 denote hydrogen or lower alkoxy or together form a methylenedioxy group, R3 is hydrogen or a protective group for carboxyl, R4 and R6 denote hydrogen or lower alkoxy, R5 is hydrogen or a protective group for phenol, and R7 is hydrogen, halogen, lower alkoxycarbonyl, carboxyl, cyano, trimethylsilyl, phenylsulphonyl or phenoxycarbonyl, with it being possible to substitute the phenyl ring in R2 with one or two substituents from the group lower alkyl, halogen, lower alkoxy and trifluoromethyl, and salts thereof and a method for production of these compounds.</p> |
