This permanent magnet consists of an alloy of Fe(a), Co(b), Nd(c), R(d), N(e) and B(f) [N is Al,Si,Ge,Nb or Ga; R is Pr,La,Y,Ce,Dy,Gd or Tb; (a)=60-80%; (b)=0-5%; (c)=10-20%; (d)=0-10%; (e)=0-5%; (f)=3-10% . The alloy is molten and cooled with the cooling rate 105-106 deg.C/sec, and heated to crystallize at 600-800 deg.C for 1-2 hrs., and pulverized. The alloy powder is sintered at 1000-1200 deg.C for 1-2 hrs.. The additive MB2 [M is Hf,Zr, or V of 0.5-3.0 wt.% is added to the alloy magnet. The permanent magnet is added 12-16 atomic percent Nd, 6-10 atomic percent B, and the additive which is ZrB2 or VB2.
