METHOD FOR OBTAINING DNA,RNA,PEPTIDES,POLYPEPTIDES OR PROTEINS BY MEANS OF A DNA RECOMBINANT TECHNIQUE

Microbiologicale prodn. of peptides or polypeptides (I) comprises first producing, simultaneously in the same medium, many genes (A) composed at least partly of stochastic, synthetic polynucleotides, and introducing these genes into host cells. The (A)-contg. strains are cultured so as to clone (A) and induce expression of proteins coded by (A). The modified strains are screened/selected to identify those which produce the required (I), according to a particular property. These strains are then isolated and cultured to produce (I). In modification, the (A)-contg. transformants are selected for presence of a particular stochastic DNA or RNA sequence, and such sequences recovered from cultures of the appropriate strains.
