<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a sufficient output for a main electric load by starting switching at a variable ON duty ratio based on a variable voltage signal of voltage detecting means, and controlling the output voltage of a generator to a second predetermined value lower than a first predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:A differential voltage is generated between a variable voltage terminal 6D and a reference voltage terminal 6E. Thus, a power controller 6 starts switching, and decides an ON duty ratio of switching of a high voltage load 12' so that a voltage between the terminals of a battery 3 does not drop lower than a second set voltage. That is, if power consumption of the same system voltage load 12 as the battery 3 and the high voltage load 12' is increased, a power limiter 6 gradually reduces an ON duty ratio according to an increase in a differential voltage, a voltage between the terminals of the battery 3 is set to a second predetermined value, held at a second set voltage, the capacity of a generator 1 is output to the maximum limit, and the output substantially equivalent to the normal generator can be supplied to the battery 3.</p> |
