PURPOSE:To decrease distortion of an input current by connecting a capacitor, a diode, and first and second switching elements to the output end of a rectification circuit and turning on and off the first and second switching elements alternately with switching frequency higher than the frequency of an AC power source. CONSTITUTION:When a switching element Q1 is turned off and a switching element Q2 is turned on, a current i1 is passed through an AC power source AC, a rectification circuit DB, a capacitor C1, and the switching element Q2. When the switching element Q1 is turned on and the switching element Q2 is turned off, a current i2 is passed through the capacitor C1, a diode D1, and the switching element Q1 and charges stored in the capacitor C1 are discharged. Therefore, for the AC power source AC, the input current i1 is always flowed in every switching period of the switching elements Q1 and Q2 and the pause of the input current is shortened. Thereby distortion of the input current from the AC power source AC is decreased. |
