A plasma display panel is formed with strip type anodes (A) and cathodes (K) formed on the surfaces of front (10) and back (20) plates to create a matrix. Auxiliary anode elements (A') are formed on the underside of one type of spacer (B1). A light emitting material (P) is formed on the sides of the spacers in the cells of the matrix.
