Camera shutter in carbon fibre reinforced plastic - has specified roughness and incorporates lubricant

A C fibre reinforced plastic component such as a camera shutter has a surface roughness of 0.3-5.0, 0.4-2.0 microns, centre line average height. The surface can contain a lubricant such as fluorocarbon or graphite. Pref. a section of a focal plane shutter has a resin matrix containing carbon fibre reinforcement. The prepreg is made of several layers and can contain black pigment or C black. It can also have a lubricant such as fluorocarbon (PTFE), graphite or molybdenum disulphide with a mean particle size of 0.1-10, 0.2-5 microns, in the ratio of 3-30(5-25) per 100 of resin. Both sides are formed by metal moulds which are roughened to the required roughness by grooves, sand blasting, chemical etching or electro etching.
