Topical compositions containing benzocaine and silver sulfadiazine have been found effective for use in the treatment of wounds and the relief of pain. Said wounds include burn wounds caused by, for example, the removal of skin lesions such as anogenital warts, carcinoma precursor lesions, and so on, by either laser surgery or electrosurgery.
