A cushion material is manufactured by (A) making monofilaments of 3000-4000 denier from thermoplastic resin, (B) winding the filaments helically around rods, (C) heat treating then with 8-150 deg.C hot air for 5-30 mins. to give spiral resin springs of which diameter, pitch interval and bulk density are 5- 12 mm, 3-8 mm and 0.05 g/cm3 - 0.5 g/cm3, respectively, (D) intensely orienting these resin springs perpendicular to the direction in which force is applied using a wire-made frame, (E) inpregnating or spraying joining parts with emulsion or liquid of rubber adhesive, and (F) bonding them by heat treating in 100-200 deg.C hot air oven for 1-30 mins.
