PROCESS AND DEVICE FOR FEEDING EMPTY BOBBINS

With conventional spinning machines, the empty bobbins have to be supplied to the machine in the correct orientation so that they can be placed on the input belts automatically. With such machines, it is therefore necessary to convey the bobbins to the spinning machine in mutually parallel containers. In order to be able to convey the bobbins from the spooler to the spinning machine in any type of container, the spinning machine is fitted with a device having a feed hopper (12) in which the bobbins can be previsionally stored lying at random. Linked to the feed hopper (12) is an elevator (9) with a multiplicity of horizontal support slats (10) which take individual bobbins (30) from the random heap and feed them to the input device (3) on the spinning machine.
