<p>A resealable compartmented container (1) for foodstuffs permits full sealing of all compartments individually, which prevents mixing of or contact between different stored items. The container (1) has an open-topped base (2), a tray (4) having a plurality of open-topped compartments (26) therein, and a cover (6); the peripheral sides of the tray (4) engageable with the top of the sides of the base (2) to support the tray (4), the walls of the compartments (16) and the peripheral sides of the tray forming a grid-like pattern; and the cover (6) having recesses (32) in a mirror-image of the grid-like pattern of the tray (4) and sealable with the top edges of the compartments (26) and the sides throughout the grid-like pattern to form a substantially air-tight releasable seal with each compartment (16). The containers (1) may be used for a variety of purposes, including as a kit for sandwich making, the storage of various types of meal components, the storage of different courses of a meal, segregation of different items where contact between various items could harm or destroy some of the items, or where mixture of the materials could be harmful to the user, as with storage of different types of medications.</p> |
