PURPOSE:To facilitate the arrangement with excellent linearity and position accuracy and good workability by using two blocks having the stepped planes. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of optical fibers 13 are arranged on the plane part 14a of a block 11a. Another block 11b is so superposed on the block 11a that the step 12b exists on the side opposite from the step 12a with respect to plural pieces of the optical fibers 13 and the plane part 14b comes into contact with plural pieces of the optical fibers 13. The heights of the steps 12a and 12b are set lower than the outside diameter of the optical fibers 13 at this time. Magnets 15 are so disposed as to pinch the blocks 11a, 11b and the blocks 11a, 11b are tentatively brought into tight contact with each other by the magnets 15. The block 11b is moved in this state toward the step 12a. The movement is stopped at the point of the time when plural pieces of the optical fibers come into tight contact with each other and when the steps 12a, 12b and both ends of plural pieces of the arranged optical fibers come into contact with each other. |
