The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing filter bags and a filter bag. In a method according to the invention two sheets of filter material are superimposed, the superimposed paper sheet layers are then joined together along the seams of the bags, defining two or more rows, immediately bordering on each other, of immediately adjacent trapezium-shaped filter bags, positioned opposite to each other, the edges of which form a sine-wave-like figure when the filter bags are cut apart. Thus the loss of material can be considerably reduced. |
