PURPOSE:To obtain a miniaturized, light weighted, and low cost original feeding device of a simple type appropriate for use for an image reading device of a mobile original platen type such as a personal type machinery by feeding and ejecting an original with a driving device interlocked with the back and forth movement of an original platen. CONSTITUTION:While the driving of an original feeding means 30 by which an original is moved to be fed or to be ejected against a surface of an original platen 2 is carried out utilizing original platen moving force of the image reading device of the mobile original platen type, and operation timing control of original feeding, ejecting, or stopping required for the original feeding means 30 is carried out by switchover means 38 and 39, interlocked with the movement of the original platen 2. Thus, the miniaturized, light weighted, and low cost original feeding device of the simple type appropriate for use in the image reading device of the mobile original platen type such as the personal machinery can be realized, and the image reading operation can be made efficient by utilizing this. |
