PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a magnetic card by printing printing information about magnetic information on the printing and recording surface of the magnetic card and confirming whether or not the information is printed by reading printed contents. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 31 writes a data, time, starting station, machine number, and entrance data in the magnetic recording section on a magnetic card C by using a write head 23. The contents recorded in the recording section of the card C are read by a read head 24 and supplied to the CPU 31. The CPU 31 checks the propriety of the recorded data and, when the data are proper, prints the date, time, starting station, and the number of the ticket examining device, namely, the machine number in the print-recording section of the card C in a visible state by using a printing head 25. Thereafter, the contents of the print-recording section are read by means of an optical detector 26 and reading section 41 and the read contents are supplied to the CPU 31. The CPU31 checks the print-recorded data of the card C and, when the discriminated result is proper, discharges the card from a card discharging port 3 while gates 4 and 9 are opened. The owner of the card C receives the card C after passing through the gates. |
