<p>PURPOSE:To selectively load a large or small cassette by suspending a freely rotatable drive shaft over an upper part of a cassette holder and fitting this shaft with a lid opener mechanism for a small size cassette to be capable of oscillating in the direction of inserting the small size cassette and also engaging with a lid of the small size cassette. CONSTITUTION:When the small size cassette C1 is inserted into a prescribed position inside the cassette holder 40 from a cassette inserting hole 30 of the front panel of the VTR main body, the drive shaft 101 is rotated by a drive shaft rotating mechanism, and hence the lid opener mechanism 130 for the small size cassette C1 is oscillated over the upper part, thus opening the lid of the small size cassette C1. Then, when the large size cassette C2 is inserted, the lid opener mechanism 130 for the small size cassette C1 is sprung up upward by advancing movement of the large size cassette C2 to allow the large size cassette C2 to advance. By this method, the large and small cassettes having nothing in common about their sizes and lid structures can selectively be loaded.</p> |
