PURPOSE:To form an image in a state where the image is not deviated between the surface and the back surface of a paper in the case of the original of an irregular size though the surface of the paper is inverted to the back surface by a surface and back surface inverting mechanism by providing an original supplying and ejecting means which supplies and ejects the original of one side in a state where one end of an original platen is taken as reference and supplies and ejects the original of the other side in a state where the other end thereof is taken as reference. CONSTITUTION:As for an operation in the case that the original 12 has the irregular size and the paper P has a regular size which is larger than that of the original, an irregular size both-side copying key 63 is depressed first so as to select irregular size both-side copying. The original 12 is set in an original supply unit 17 and a copying start key 3 is depressed. The original 12 is fed by a belt conveyor 16a with one side downward, abuts on a one end reference body 14a and is positioned in the state where one end is taken as reference. Copying for the specified number of sheets is performed in the state where one end is taken as reference and the paper P where copying has been performed to the surface side is housed in an intermediate tray 56b. Next, the device is shifted to the situation where the other end is taken as reference, then the original 12 is inverted by an original inverting unit 18, fed by the conveyor 16a with the other side downward and abuts on an other end reference body 14b and stops. Copying for the specified number of sheets is performed in the state where the other end is taken as reference and the specified number of copies having both sides to which copying has been performed and between which the image alignes are ejected. Then, the original 12 is ejected. When the original succeeds, the device is restored to the state where one end is taken as reference. |
