<p>Novel bicyclic guanidines substituted on the amino group by an aliphatic hydrocarbon having 20 to 100 carbon atoms are disclosed, together with the use of guanidines substituted on the amino group as diesel fuel additives to reduce deposit formation in diesel engines.</p>
