Cleaning cloth with lateral cleaning strips on the upper and/or lower side, has at least one of the cleaning strips held to the fabric length by contact locking strips for exchange. Pref., each contact locking strip is in a ribbon strip. Each of the cleaning strips extends over the whole cleaning cloth width at equal and/or different intervals from each other in the direction of travel. At the entry side of the fabric, the cleaning strips are at the upper and/or under side of the material, composed of emery material or steel chips, held by contact locking strips for quick release. ADVANTAGE - The cleaning strips are easily attached to the fabric, without requiring stitching and the associated wear and damage to a sewing machine. The cleaning strips can be detached at will for the cloth to be washed.
