PURPOSE:To lower a heat resisting temperature of a soot collecting filter so that the material of the filter can be selected in a wide range by installing the soot collecting filters respectively downstream of dust collectors arranged in two exhaust pipe passages which can be selectively switched, so that high pressure air can be supplied from the exhaust side of the filter. CONSTITUTION:Between two exhaust pipe passages 2, 3 branched from an exhaust inlet pipe 1 and an exhaust outlet pipe 4, two soot collecting filters 5, 6 and two cyclone dust collectors 7, 8 are arranged respectively, so that the exhaust from a diesel engine can be selectively introduced into the soot collecting filter 5 or 6 by switching a valve body 9a, 9b through the operation of a switching valve 9. Back washing air pipes 12, 13 are connected to the exhaust outlet side of the soot collecting filters 5, 6 via switching valves 10, 11, so that high pressure air can be supplied. The cyclone dust collectors 7, 8 are constituted in such a manner that they collect the soot by the effect of centrifugal force and incinerate the soot by means of electric heaters 14, 15, which are installed at the bottom parts. |
