Machine tool with a work carrier (11) and a tool carrier (12) which can be motor-driven in a rotary manner and is held by an adjusting device (15) which permits the positioning of the tool (13) with regard to the workpiece (14) and has a first swivel mounting (17) which enables the tool to be swivelled about a first swivel axis (16) and to which a second swivel mounting (19) is fastened which enables the tool to be swivelled about a second swivel axis (19) perpendicular to the first swivel axis (16) and holds the tool carrier (12) running with its axis (20) of rotation through the intersection of the two swivel axes (16, 18). So that a machine tool having the features mentioned at the beginning can be improved in such a way that the workpiece (14) can be machined with a large swivel range in particular by a substantial increase in the swivel angle of the second swivel mounting (19), it is designed in such a way that the tool carrier (12), with its end (12') holding the tool (13), is directed by the second swivel mounting (19) in all swivelled positions of both swivel mountings (17, 19) towards the intersection (21) of both swivel axes (16, 18). <IMAGE> |
