PURPOSE:To enhance the sensitivity of detector even for dilute samples by holding a container for electrolyte wherein the movement of anion main component is large in addition to a sample container and a buffer solution container on the side of the anode of a capillary, and replacing and inserting the anode end. CONSTITUTION:A sample is injected into the anode end of capillary 1 which is filled with buffer solution for electrophoresis. Thereafter, the sample is submerged into electrolyte 9 wherein anion having a high mobility is the main component, and electrophoresis is performed. The anions move from a cathode 6 to the anode 7. An electroosmosis flow which is faster than the ion moving speed is generated from the anode 7 to the cathode 6. Therefore, the electrolyte 9 having the high mobility is injected into the anode end of the capillary 1. Thus, the dilute sample is enriched, and the detecting sensitivity can be enhanced. |
