PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THREE-DIMENSIONAL PATTERNS OR COATINGS ON PAPER, TEXTILE OR PLASTIC FOIL SUBSTRATES

In the process, a polyvinyl chloride plastisol having a certain chemical composition is used in certain amounts by weight. The plastisol contains, as a further additive, certain amounts by weight of hollow microbodies which have a mean particle diameter of 2-80 mu m, preferably 5-40 mu m and are filled with a gas or an organic liquid. The plastisol is applied by a printing process, preferably a screen printing or gravure printing process and is heated at temperatures of 105-165 DEG C, preferably 110-155 DEG C, the filled hollow microbodies extending to several times their volume and the plastisol being expanded and undergoing complete gelling.
