PURPOSE:To prepare a heat storage material contg. a large quantity of paraffin and having a high heat storage capacity by mixing mechanically a hydrocarbon org. polymer as a binder ingredient into a paraffin as a heat storage ingredient. CONSTITUTION:A heat storage material is prepd. by mechanically mixing 100 pts.wt. paraffin as a heat storage ingredient with 5-30 pts.wt. hydrocarbon org. polymer as a binder ingredient [e.g. polyethylene, polypropylene, ethylene- propylene copolymer constituted mainly of methylene units or polyethyl (meth) acrylate]. The heat storage compsn. thus prepd. is excellent in moldability, much lessened in the extent of migration of paraffin to the surface of molded product, high in the content of paraffin, and high in the heat storage capacity. |
