<p>The foundation bolt is inserted into a hole (2) in the concrete. The hole has a groove (4) forming a section of larger diameter and thus two shoulders (5). The bolt (6) has a sleeve with a plain section (12), a middle section (13) with radial slots (14) and a section (15) of larger diameter through which the slots (14) extend. The bore of the larger section is formed into a cone in which the nut (18) engages. In the unexpanded form the assembly fits into the hole (2). When the nut (8) is tightened the sleeve expands and the projection (16) engages with the shoulder (5) in the hole.</p> |
