<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a material, used for preserving perishables for a long period and enabling preservation of foods, etc., for a long period by using Al or Al alloy cellular material or a cellular material prepared by subjecting the surface thereof to specific treatment as a material for the preservation. CONSTITUTION:A material for preserving perishables for a long period consisting of one or more of Al or All alloy cellular materials or a cellular material prepared by subjecting the surface thereof to boehmite treatment and producing whiskers on the surface and a cellular material obtained by impregnating and coating the surface of a cellular substance with an antimicrobial agent. In order to preserve foods for a long period, treatment such as sterilization with heat, reduction of moisture in the foods by salts or saccharides or sterilizing action has hitherto been surely required. The treatment is not required at all by using the above-mentioned material. When the aforementioned material for preserving the perishables for a long period is used as underlays, partitions, containers, etc., preservation, storage, transfer, etc., can be carried out at ordinary or low temperatures in a fresh state for a long period of >=2 weeks.</p> |
