PURPOSE:To make it possible to manufacture plate-like formed body having uniform specific gravity distribution in small space by a method wherein long fibers are continu ously advanced along a guide and sprinkled with foam hardening resin liquid by means of a jetting machine, which moves circularly so as to guide the resultant impregnated fiber bundle to forming passage for foaming and hardening. CONSTITUTION:Long fibers (g)..., which are arranged in circular peripheral form, are introduced through the top face opening 22a of a guide cone 22 and coveringly advanced along the inner surface of the guide cone 22 towards the bottom face opening 22b. During the downward advancement of the long fibers along the inner surface of the guide cone 22, foam hardening resin liquid is sprinkled from a jetting machine, which moves circularly, against the position, at which the fibers close up in uniform layer by narrowing their intervals. After that, fiber bundle G is formed by making the long fibers (g)... convergently pass through the convergent port 22b. In succession, the fiber bundle G is respectively pinched by first impregnating plates 31 and 31 and a impregnating stand and a second impregnating plate 32 and, through their reciprocat ing motions, the resin liquid adhered to the fiber bundle G is infiltrated in the fiber bundle. After that, the resultant fiber bundle G is guided in forming passage so as to foam and harden the resin liquid in order to form plate-like formed body. |
