A setting device for a throttle flap (10) in a fuel system of an internal combustion engine comprises an asynchronous three phase electrical setting motor (11) and a control device (12) which controls the setting motor in dependence on operating parameters of the engine. For the purpose of a simple construction of the setting device, robustness and long service life, motor (17) has a short-circuited rotor (20) which may be laminated and of hollow or solid construction. The control device may vary at least the frequency or amplitude of the control voltage. Potentiometer 16 provides a throttle position signal. <IMAGE> |
