A method for automatically filling, especially vibration filling, or coating electrode supports in a pasting bath is described, the electrode support being immersed in the pasting bath in a horizontal position. In this case, the support initially approaches the paste surface at high speed and is then immersed into the paste at a slower speed as far as a predetermined final position. The speed change takes place at a defined distance from the paste surface. For this purpose, the position of the paste surface is detected using a sensor, which emits a changeover signal to a controller when the defined distance from the sensor is reached. The sensor may consist of a sensor which operates without making contact or of a sensor which detects the position of the paste surface by making contact. |
