<p>Exhaust gases from a sintering installation are passed through an electrostatic precipitator, a chlorides-containing dust mixture being precipitated. A solvent, e.g. water, is added to at least a part of the dust mixture, whereby the chlorides are dissolved. Solids are separated from the solution, and the largely solids-free solution is contacted in a spray dryer with hot exhaust gas from the sintering installation. Largely dried chlorides are removed from the spray dryer, and the solvent-containing exhaust gas from the spray dryer is passed into the electrostatic precipitator. <IMAGE></p> |
