THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material which donates adequate performance to various functions such as coloring properties and has high solvent resistance by adding a specific derivative to the sixth position as an electron- donative colorless dye and also adding paraffin wax with a specific melting point. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording material, consisting of an electron-donative colorless dye and an electron-receptive compound contains a fluoran derivative with an alkylamino group substituted by an aryloxy group or an arylthio group at the 6th position as an electron-donative colorless dye and also paraffin wax with a melting point of 40 deg. to 120 deg.C. The recommended paraffin wax is such as one with a melting point of 50 deg. to 100 deg.C. The blending dosage of electron- donative colorless dye should be 5 to 200wt.% and preferably be 20 to 150wt.% for wax.
