Thermosetting compounds expressed by the general formulas (IA) and (IB) are disclosed; <CHEM> (In the formula, Ar1, Ar2 and Ar4 are divalent organic groups, Ar3 is a monovalent organic group and Ar1 , Ar2 , Ar3 and Ar4 may be the same kind or different kind. m is an integer of 1-30.) The above compounds provide hard substances excellent in workability as well as high in heat resistance and mechanical properties.
