<p>PURPOSE:To suppress or prevent the elution of Cr<6+> in dust while simultaneously intensifying the magnetization of dust to achieve the effective re-utilization of said dust, by subjecting the dust discharged from a steel manufacturing furnace or a baking furnace to heat treatment under a reductive atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Dust discharged from a steel manufacturing furnace or a baking furnace is subjected to heat treatment under a reductive atmosphere and Cr<6+> contained in the dust is stabilized in a Cr<3+>-form. By this method, the elution of Cr<6+> can be suppressed or perfectly prevented. In addition, the magnetization of irons being main components of metals contained in the dust can be simultaneously intensified. By this method, the effective re-utilization of the dust after treatment is achieved.</p> |
