<p>PURPOSE:To attain the production of plural types of tape cassettes of different shapes by loading a small size tape cassette into a magnetic reproducing device having a large tape cassette size and loading this reproducing device into a magnetic reproducing device which reproduces the large size tape cassettes. CONSTITUTION:When a video tape recorder 2 with a built-in camera or a 1/2-inch tape cassette is pushed into a cassette slot 36 of a video tape recorder 1, a door 40 flipped inside at the slot 36. Thus the loaded recorder 2 or cassette can move inside up to a prescribed position. At the same time, a cassette detection circuit detects the loading of the recorder 2 or the 1/2-inch tape cassette when a switch provided inside the door 40 is switched to an ON state. Then the detection circuit outputs a cassette detection signal to a control circuit. As a result, the recorder 1 can reproduce even an 8mm tape cassette in addition to the 1/2-inch tape cassette.</p> |
