PURPOSE:To prevent the cracking of a sealing glass and improve the temperature characteristic of an ion conductor by interposing a ceramic insulating material on a cathode laminated on the ion conductor, and providing a sensor heating heater. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes (cathodes) 2A, 2B to which a determined voltage is applied are laminated on the respective surfaces of an ion conductor 1. The oxygen of a sample gas taken through gas diffusion hole 1A is sent as an ion by oxygen pumping action, and the oxygen concentration of the circumference is measured by its current value. A space forming material 3 and a sealing glass 4 covering it and airtightly holding a space part 3A is provided on the electrode 2A. On the other hand, a porous ceramic insulating material 10 and a sensor heating heater 11 are laminated on the electrode 2B. Thus, heat is uniformly conducted to the whole surface of the conductor 1, and its temperature characteristic is improved. The junctions of the forming material 3, glass 4, and conductor 1 are gradually heated, and the cracking by heat shock is prevented. |
