PURPOSE:To remove efficiently foreign matters having different particle sizes flying in at a high speed by communicating a cylindrical body for removing inertially the foreign matter with a stopping plate provided therein with a cylindrical body provided with a porous foreign matter removing plate at an exhaust port therein. CONSTITUTION:In a waste-heat boiler system, foreign matters in the system flying in a steam pipe 2 with steam S by blowing, flow into the first cylindrical body 1 of a strainer main body. Since a stopping plate 3 is provided to the first cylindrical body 1, foreign matters having large particle sizes and large mass runs straight ahead, strikes against the stopping plate 3, and is deposited in the vicinity of the stopping plate 3. Meanwhile, the foreign matters having small particle sizes and small mass flow into the second cylindrical body 4 together with a steam flow, wherein the foreign matter having small size is removed by porous or reticular foreign matter removing plates 5 and 6 provided at the exhaust port 8 of the second cylindrical body 4. Thus only steam is sent into a steam condenser 10 through a gas exhaust pipe 9.
