PURPOSE:To maintain a tape squeaking preventive effect for a long time and to reduce the secular change of a fixing material which fixes a magnetic core and to maintain environmental stability for a long period by employing a method which impregnates the fixing material with an organic lubricant when the fixing material gels. CONSTITUTION:A specific amount of thermosetting resin forming the fixing material is injected into a shield case containing the magnetic core 4 at the side of a recording medium sliding surface, and impregnated with the organic lubricant in a gel state to obtain the 1st fixing material 2, which is injected into the remaining part and put in a thermostatic chamber at thermosetting temperatures to set the whole resin thermally. The cross linkage density of the fixing material in a semisolid state (gel state) wherein cross linkage is not complete is still small, so the organic lubricant penetrates into the resin relatively easily. This organic lubricant penetrates when the fixing material gels and is then heated for complete setting, thereby preventing deterioration in electromagnetic conversion characteristics in the run of a recording medium. |
