PURPOSE:To stably form good images by pressing a blade member to a driving roller of a belt photosensitive body constituting a process cartridge in contact therewith. CONSTITUTION:The brake member 181 is pressed and provided on the surface of the driving roller 18 which s wound around the photosensitive belt 17 and drives the belt. The accumulation of the sticking of the residual toners, etc., from the photosensitive belt 17 and sticking to the surface of the driving roller 181 after sticking to the rear surface of the belt 17 during the long time and the consequent irregular fluctuation of the load resistance at the time of driving and the generation of unequal speeds, etc., are thereby prevented. The pressing of the brake member 181 is executed at all times and urethane rubber is preferable as the material. The rear surface of the photosensitive belt 17 and the front surface of the driving roller 18 are cleaned in this way and the generation of the unequal speeds of the belt by the load fluctuation is obviated. The exact and high-quality images free from staining and distortions are thus stably formed. |
