A flow regulator for catheters and similar devices consists of a tube (1) having extended tubular extremities (2, 3) for connecting to the catheter feed system and a centre flattened part (4) having a bore (5) of precise dimensions. The regulator is manufactured by heating a zone of a continuous tube (7) from the exterior, inserting an axially moveable mandrel (8) concentric with the tube (7), pressing the tube (7) around the mandrel (8), and then withdrawing the mandrel (8) leaving the tube with its precisely dimensioned bore (5). <IMAGE> |
