FINE AGGREGATE COMPOSED OF WATER GRANULATED BLAST FURNACE SLAG

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the quality of MASATSUCHI, decrease the unit water quantity and improve the strength in the case of using the MASATSUCHI as a fine aggregate for concrete and mortar by mixing MASATSUCHI with a specific amount of water-granulated slag obtained as a by-product of a pig iron manufacture process. CONSTITUTION:The objective fine aggregate composed of water-granulated blast furnace slag can be produced by substituting 40-60% (preferably 50%) of MASATSUCHI (residual deposit of granite) with water-granulated slag produced by a pig iron manufacture process. The workability of a concrete can be improved by the use of the fine aggregate.
