PURPOSE:To provide a heat retaining device having a unique design; capable of performing a spontaneous inputting or outputting a stored substance, showing no flowing-out of cold air to an outside area and make an energy saving by a method wherein a cooling means or a heating means is installed within a heat retaining device and an outer sectional shape of the heat retaining device is substantially formed into an ellipse. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerator 1 is comprised of a freezing chamber 2 and a refrigerating chamber 3. Sectional shapes of the freezing chamber 2 and the freezing chamber 3 are circular shapes. The chambers are provided with a proper rotating axis and can be freely rotated. The freezing chamber 2 and the refrigerating chamber 3 are provided with a cooling device, respectively. A first motor 22 is pivotally mounted at a lower part of the freezing chamber 2. As the motor 22 is rotated, the entire freezing chamber 2 is rotated. In addition, a second motor 32 is pivotally mounted at a lower part of the refrigerating chamber 3 and as the motor 32 is rotated, the entire refrigerator 1 is rotated. To an outer circumferential wall of the refrigerator 1 are fixed a plurality of infra-red ray sensors 4, 4.... The infra-red ray sensors 4, 4... detect approaching of a person. The infra-red ray sensors 4, 4... are connected to a control means. The control means controls the first and second doors 21 and 31 in response to the detected signals of the infra-red ray sensors 4, 4... in such a way as the doors come to a front surface of the user. |
