ELECTRODE FOR LITHIUM BATTERY

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain an electrode with the improved energy density and service life by using such carbon fibers for supporting lithium as satisfying a specified relationship between diameter and length. CONSTITUTION:The carbon fibers for supporting lithium satisfy a relationship of D/L>=3(D = 1-20) wherein D and L indicate the diameter and length of the carbon fiber, respectively. The carbon fibers having such a property as to absorb and support lithium is pulverized with a ball mill to be 2mum or less in fiber length. The carbon fibers can used as an electrode, and can be formed in the form of a sheet while holding the excellent property.
