<p>PURPOSE:To make the step of an external frame inconspicuous by performing interpolation corresponding to enlargement magnification when a character pattern is enlarged. CONSTITUTION:The longitudinal and lateral magnification values (x) and (y) of a display character are compared and smaller one is denoted as (x). Then a longitudinal size counter value (a) is subtracted from (z) to obtain a value (c), and (a) is subtracted from (x) to find a value (e); and (e) is subtracted from (z) to obtain a value (f) and a lateral side counter value (b) is subtracted from (y) to obtain a value (d). Then a dot 8 for left upper interpolation only when b < c, a dot 9 for right upper interpolation only when d < c, a dot 10 for left lower interpolation only when b < f, or a dot 11 for right lower interpolation only when d < f is generated. Further, which interpolation is performed is judged from the display character pattern and the interpolation process dots are selected and added to the display dots. Consequently, the step of the external frame can be made inconspicuous at the time of enlargement.</p> |
