PURPOSE:To enhance drivability, by adjusting the compensated quantity of fuel in transient-time fuel compensation, depending on the deviation of air-fuel ratio, to prevent the emissions and fuel efficiency from deteriorating. CONSTITUTION:In steps S104 and S105, the deviation of air-fuel ratio at transient-time is detected and a transient-time fuel compensation ratio is calculated, respectively. In a step S107, the duration of opening of a fuel injection valve caused once in every rotation of an engine is calculated from transient-time fuel compensation and a basic fuel quantity which is compensated by feedback control. In a step S108, the fuel injection valve is controlled. The compensated quantity of fuel in the transient-time fuel compensation is prevented from being misadjusted by a disturbance such as fuel vaporization. As a result, the emissions and fuel efficiency are kept from deteriorating, so that drivability is improved. |
