PURPOSE:To improve the picture quality of a reproducing image by changing an interpolating operation expression in accordance with an image data level before interpolation, in an interpolating operation executed in order to change a picture element. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 15 performs an interpolating operation to radiation image information (image data) stored in an image memory 14, and simultaneously, performs various image processings being suitable for a diagnostic purpose, and the image data to which the image processing is performed is stored in the image memory 14 again. In this case, at the time of executing the interpolating operation in order to change the number of picture elements, an interpolating operation expression is changed in accordance with a picture element data level before the interpolating operation, therefore, the processing for emphasizing or weakening a spatial frequency component can be executed in accordance with the picture element data level (density or luminance). In such a way, an easily visible reproducing image can be realized. |
