PURPOSE:To surely detect knocking regardless of the positional relation ship between a knocking sensor and a cylinder by calculating a relative coeffcient between signals of a cylinder interal pressure sensor and a knocking sensor, and calculating intensity of knock generation according to frequency components included in a knock sensor signal. CONSTITUTION:A means which controls an ignition timing or a means which controls an air-fuel ratio is provided so that knocking can be generated. There is also provided a means (charge amplifier) which amplifies knocking signals to a proper amplitude, a means (band pass filter) which collects the knocking signals an auxiliary means to measure the intensity of the knocking, and a means which analizes collected data. Consequently, repeatability of knocking detection is improved. |
