PURPOSE:To enable easy detection of a posture angle, by irradiating nearly parallel beam of light of uniform distribution of intensity into 4 diffusing boards and detecting a difference of intensities of reflected beams from No.1 and No.2 diffusing board and a difference of intensities of reflected beams from No.3 and No.4. CONSTITUTION:Corner reflectors 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d are irradiated by a laser beam 9 parallel to the optical axis of a sensor 4 and of uniform distribution of intensity. When axes 7a, 7b of the corner reflectors 6a, 6b are assumed to be set as shown, intensities of the reflected beams from the corner reflector 6a, 6b change as shown by curves 10a and 10b. Consequently, separation and detection of the reflected beams from the corner reflectors 6a, 6b by image processing and subsequent calculation of the difference, a difference of intensities of the reflected beams with respect to an angle delta can be obtained. Further, the intensity difference of the reflected beams by the corner reflectors 6c, 6d and a relation between angles of the optical axis 5 in an imaginary surface 8b and an indicating axis 3 can also be determined. From these relations a posture angle of an article 1 can easily be detected. |
