Cleaning-lance device for cleaning pipe bundles in heat exchangers, comprising a frame, an elongate guide which is supported by the frame, a hose drum which is mounted rotatably on the frame in the vicinity of a rear end of the guide, a high-pressure hose which is connected to one end of the hose drum and at its other end bears a coupling element which interacts with the guide and can be displaced along the latter, a bundle of spray lances which are connected to the coupling element in line with the hose and, at their free end, bear spray nozzles, and drive means for driving the hose drum in the unwinding direction and in the winding direction, in order to unwind or wind in the hose from or onto the hose drum and in order to drive the coupling element along the guide at least during unwinding, synchronously with this unwinding, in such a manner that that section of the hose which extends between the coupling element and the hose drum is substantially free from tensile and compressive loads in the longitudinal direction.
