PURPOSE:To make the centering easier and to carry out a holding work rapidly by composing one of holding rollers provided at the tube form holding member to hold a work piece concentrically in the condition to penetrate the work piece, drivable and rotatable, and providing a means to prevent the movement of the holding member in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION:The first holder 2 furnishes a holding member 21 having a tube form body 21a to hold a glass rod G conectrically in the condition to penetrate the glass rod G, and two hard rollers 22 and a rubber roller 23 to hold the holding member 21 rotatable by abutting on the peripheral surface 21b of the tube form body 21a, making the rubber roller 23 as a driving roller. A movement preventive means to the movement of the tube form body 21a in the longitudinal direction makes a flange 21c provided at the opposite side of the machining tool 4 of the tube form body 21a abut to an air bearing 25 to prevent machining tool 4, and makes a rubber holding roller 26a abut to the flange 21c to prevent the movement of the tube form body 21a to the opposite side of the machining tool 4. |
