PURPOSE:To efficiently execute a color adjustment by a user by executing an operation in advance to a coarser sampling point than a final display, executing automatically the color adjustment by utilizing its result, and subsequently, executing the processing for a detailed display. CONSTITUTION:First of all, pixel sizes PXc, PYc for setting a color are set. In such a state, with regard to a sample cell being larger than a display pixel, a color determining operation is executed in advance, the highest density value of a color in the sample cell is derived, the ratio of this value and the highest density value of a display device is calculated, and subsequently, the color determining operation is executed to all display pixels, its result is multiplied by a density ratio derived previously, and it is displayed on a screen as display density. In such a way, optimal display color density can be determined automatically. |
